Once an operation moves beyond everyday warehouse forklifts and into serious high-capacity equipment, the market changes quickly. The number of available machines gets smaller, the applications become more specialized, and choosing the right truck becomes much more important.
Finding the forklift is only part of the job. The supplier also needs to understand how the machine will be used, how it will be supported after the sale, and what options exist when a standard truck is not the right answer.
High-Capacity Equipment Is a Different Market
High-capacity cushion and pneumatic forklifts serve demanding applications across steel and coil handling, heavy manufacturing, transloading, precast concrete, bulk material handling and other industrial environments. These applications can involve concentrated loads, long travel distances, demanding duty cycles, unusual attachments and operating conditions that leave little room for error.
For machinery movers and riggers, the solution can be even more specialized. Extendable-counterweight forklifts provide a purpose-built option for moving heavy machinery where maneuverability, capacity and compact dimensions all matter.
More Than Inventory
At Forklift Exchange, high-capacity equipment is not a sideline. It is a niche we’ve spent decades building around. Our capabilities include new, used and rebuilt high-capacity forklifts, specialty equipment, and application support for customers with difficult material-handling requirements.
We also operate a dedicated high-capacity rebuilding facility in Chicago. That capability allows us to take selected machines far beyond cosmetic refurbishment and return them to service through extensive rebuilding and reconditioning when the application and economics justify it.
Support After the Sale
A high-capacity forklift can be a critical part of an operation, so support cannot end when the truck is delivered. Forklift Exchange works with service technicians across much of the United States, from Phoenix to the East Coast, giving customers access to service support in many of the markets where these machines operate.
That combination of equipment, application knowledge, rebuilding capability and service support becomes increasingly important as forklift capacity increases.
A Resource for Dealers and End Users
Our customers include end users with demanding applications as well as forklift dealers who occasionally receive a request for a machine outside their normal inventory or expertise. Whether the requirement involves steel coils, precast concrete, transloading, heavy manufacturing, bulk materials or specialized machinery handling, the objective is the same: put the right machine into the right application and support it afterward.
When the requirement gets bigger or more specialized, Forklift Exchange is a resource worth calling.
