A Hoist 25/35 demo is one of the best ways to understand the differences between today’s leading rigging trucks. Last week, we hosted Nunn’s Construction at our Chicago facility for a full day of side by side demonstrations featuring the Gen 2 Hoist 25/35, Gen 2 Hoist 40/60, and Landoll PT40.

We began the day running a Gen 2 Hoist 25/35 next to a Gen 1 unit. This gave them a direct comparison point to feel the differences in control, hydraulics, and overall precision.
This is something you simply cannot understand from a spec sheet.
Within minutes, the feedback was consistent with what we hear from most operators. The machine is smoother, more responsive, and easier to control under load.

From there, we got them on a Gen 2 Hoist 40/60. Since they already run a Gen 1 40/60 in their fleet, this gave them immediate context for how the updated platform performs.
Again, the same takeaway.
The control is on a completely different level.
For applications where precision matters, especially in tight environments or tandem picks, that difference becomes critical.

To round out the day, we partnered with Stevenson Crane, Rigging & Heavy Haul to run a Landoll PT40.
This gave them the opportunity to evaluate multiple platforms side by side, not just different generations of the same machine.
That kind of comparison is rare, but it is where buyers gain real clarity.
Every manufacturer has brochures, specification sheets, and marketing materials. While those resources are helpful, they can only tell part of the story. The biggest differences become obvious once an operator gets behind the wheel and performs the same tasks on multiple machines.
Running different trucks back to back allows operators to evaluate visibility, hydraulic responsiveness, steering feel, operator comfort, and overall machine control in the exact same environment. Those details are difficult to appreciate from a specification sheet alone, but they often have the biggest impact on productivity and operator confidence.
That is why we encourage customers to spend time in the seat whenever possible. Whether the right solution ends up being a Hoist, a Landoll, or another machine, our goal is to help customers make an informed decision based on real operating experience rather than marketing claims.
At Forklift Exchange, we work closely with our industry partners to make these demonstrations possible whenever we can. Giving customers the opportunity to evaluate multiple machines in one day provides a level of confidence that simply is not possible through brochures or online videos alone.
A good demo is not just about lifting a test weight. It is about how the machine feels through the entire process.
Operators usually notice the small details right away. How the hydraulics respond. How smooth the truck feels when driving. How easy it is to feather the controls and make small adjustments. Those details matter when the machine is being used inside a building, around expensive equipment, or in areas where there is very little room for error.
That is why real seat time is so valuable. It gives the customer a chance to evaluate the machine the same way their operators will use it in the field.
Anytime we can make it happen, this is the goal.
Real comparisons.
Real seat time.
All in one day.
If you are evaluating extendable forklifts or rigging trucks, we can help set up a similar demo so you can make the right decision based on how the machines actually perform.
