We Buy Forklifts – But We Are Selective About What We Buy
The used forklift market changes constantly. Some machines are easy to place. Others are difficult to replace once they are gone.
At Forklift Exchange, we are actively purchasing used forklifts across the country, but our buying priorities are focused on the equipment our customers ask for most often.
That means late-model warehouse forklifts, high-capacity cushion and pneumatic trucks, and specialty equipment that fits demanding industrial applications.
Late-Model 5,000- to 15,000-lb. Forklifts
For warehouse-size forklifts, we are primarily looking for late-model, good-running cushion and pneumatic trucks from all major manufacturers.
Condition matters. We are generally not looking for older small-capacity forklifts that require major repairs. The strongest candidates are clean, serviceable machines with reasonable hours and a useful remaining life.
High-Capacity Cushion and Pneumatic Forklifts
High-capacity equipment is different. We are especially interested in later-model Toyota, Hoist, Hyster, Taylor and other major high-capacity cushion and pneumatic forklifts.
Because Forklift Exchange has extensive rebuilding and refurbishing capabilities, we will also consider certain high-capacity trucks that need work. A machine with cosmetic wear or repair needs may still be a strong candidate if the underlying truck and application make sense.
Age still matters. In today’s market, older high-capacity equipment can be harder to place, so newer machines generally attract the strongest interest.
Single Forklifts or Complete Fleets
We buy individual machines as well as larger packages and complete fleets. Equipment may be sitting idle, coming off lease, being replaced as part of a fleet refresh, or simply no longer needed for the application.
For companies with multiple locations, we can also evaluate mixed groups of equipment across different capacities and brands.
What to Send Us
You do not need a detailed appraisal package to start the conversation. In most cases, a few photos and the basic equipment information are enough for an initial review.
From there, we can determine quickly whether the equipment fits our current buying needs.
If You Have Forklifts to Sell, Let’s Talk
Forklift Exchange buys used forklifts nationwide, with particular interest in late-model warehouse equipment and high-capacity cushion and pneumatic trucks.
If you have equipment sitting idle, coming off lease, or being replaced, send the basic information and photos. We will take a look and let you know if it is a fit.
