A marina forklift with a 50+ foot tall mast calls for a delivery with a little extra planning.
Forklift Exchange recently delivered a brand-new Hoist Neptune M520S marina forklift to Safe Harbor City Boatyard in Charleston, South Carolina. From disassembly at our Bedford Park, Illinois, facility to assembly by our technicians at the customer’s location, this project brought together serious lifting equipment and hands-on technical support.
This is the largest marina forklift in the continental United States outside Florida. Its arrival brings substantial boat-handling capability to Safe Harbor City Boatyard’s dry-stack operation.

Before making the trip to South Carolina, the Hoist Neptune M520S was dismantled at our Bedford Park facility for transportation.
Once the truck arrived in Charleston, our technicians assembled it on site, bringing the machine back together at its new home.
For the customer, that meant working with a team that could support both the equipment delivery and the assembly required at its destination. This project is a great example of the work that goes into delivering large marina equipment.
The Hoist Neptune M520S is a marina forklift with a short-wheelbase design and a rated capacity of 52,000 lbs at a 96-inch load center. It is built for the demands of handling large boats in marina and dry-stack environments.
Hoist’s Neptune Series combines that lifting capability with features developed around waterfront operations:
Actual lifting capacity varies with lift height, load center, and truck configuration. Matching those requirements to the boats and storage layout is an essential part of choosing the right marina forklift.
Forklift Exchange supports marinas and boatyards with new Hoist Neptune forklifts, used equipment, parts, service, and refurbishments. Deliveries like this one also show the value of having experienced technicians available to complete assembly where the equipment will be used.
Thank you to the team at Safe Harbor City Boatyard for trusting Forklift Exchange with this new addition to your operation!
