Diesel Powertrain and DrivelineThe standard powertrain combines a Cummins QSB Tier 4 Final 6.7L diesel engine rated at 173 hp with an Allison RD 3500 six-speed automatic transmission. A 50-gallon fuel tank supports extended yard operations.
The chassis uses a Hendrickson STEERTEK NXT front axle rated at 14,600 lb and an AxleTech PRC785 rear axle rated at 30,000 lb. The published specification lists rigid leaf-spring suspension with rubber bushings, 11R22.5 radial tires and steel hub-piloted wheels.
Fifth Wheel and Trailer HandlingA standard SF Holland FW35 fifth wheel is rated at 70,000 lb. Published fifth-wheel height is 44 inches in the lowered position and 62 inches in the raised position. The 116-inch wheelbase and up to 55 degrees of wheel cut support maneuvering in busy trailer yards.
Cab and Operator FeaturesThe steel cab includes a rear sliding entry door, thermal and noise insulation, air-suspended Sears Atlas II seat, premium HVAC with air conditioning, LED work lighting and powered, heated convex mirrors.
MD4 Smart Screen Technology provides onboard diagnostics, engine-status monitoring and access to digital operator manuals from the cab. Operator controls include push-button transmission selection, fingertip fifth-wheel controls, trailer air supply, electronic mirror controls, USB ports and digital instrumentation.
Standard SystemsThe specification includes a 31 GPM hydraulic system, 12-gallon hydraulic tank, 12-volt electrical system, 130-amp alternator, dual 950 CCA batteries and LED headlights, warning lights, work lamps and beacon.
